    bals is a slab spelled backwards in my neck of the woods. What defines a "slab" in your area of the world ?

    12” plus and thick shoulders get the title for me. Over 15” gets giant status.

    roundness is in this equation for sure , some are just butterball fatties and aint even really long , love me a really plump 12 incher too

    Around the Central Illinois area an average fish is 9-10 and those are our eaters. 8" go back. 12" getting into Slab territory. 14" are monsters around here and extremely rare.
