    Default waterproof jacket

after fishing yesterday. i came to the conclusion i need a waterproof windproof hooded jacket, going to start shopping, maybe some members might have some input what they like and don't like. looking for something light weight. warm for 40 deg weather. nothing noisy when it gets rained on.

I have a Goretex jacket from Cabela’s. Works fine.

Academy Sports has their house brand, Magellan, in both light weight and insulated styles. And bibs, also.

I have bass pro 100 mph and cabelas that are fantastic and I also have a vortex Colombia wind breaker jacket that works very well for fair weather. No mater what gortex is worth the extra money in the long run.

I have the bibs and Jacket. They are the heavier ones. They are definitely warm and dry.

Pretty much anything Goretex should do. Magellan ones would be a bit overkill for 40 degree in my opinion, but I'm the type of guy to stroll in shorts when it's snowing :D
