Woohoo! Good news but I would still be cautious and monitor her as I’m sure you will. Continued prayers

No doubt Dave. I don't like running back and forth to the hospital...

Yes everyone, it has been a blessing. The last couple days she was in, she was in almost constant Afib. Her heart rate would shoot up and immediately drop back, up to 127, down to normal, immediately jump back up, then back down. Then it would beat normal for ten-fifteen minutes, then start all over again. Crazy. I can't say I wasn't worried that when I left to eat, take care of the girls, (our three chihuahua's), that I wouldn't get a bad phone call from the hospital. But I will ay she is tough, and the Lord was with her all the way.
She starts group therapy on the 6th of Dec. She complains of being tired, gets lightheaded sometimes, and gives me a bad time for trying to get her up and moving...But it's in her best interest. Only time I leave the house is to get some groceries, or take her to an appt. As much as I would like to go wet a line, or do something on my new boat, I stay real close, especially after her last episode. Shes what's important right now, and everything else will be there later...

Seen the surgeon today...Said she's doing great. Still have about 10-12 days with the heart monitor, and another appt in two weeks. Depending on what the report says from that monitor, she may get off the blood thinners and the meds that regulate her heart rate. both are causing her to have nausea. he lowered the dosages on both today, so depending on how that goes, we will see.

When they put me on beta blockers after open heart, it did the same thing to me. It was a blessed day when they said I could discontinue them. Continued prayers for y’all. Hope she can eliminate them all together some day. God bless.

    ***Big Update***
We are getting to start to see the light at the end of this long, nightmarish tunnel we have been in for a long time. Yesterday Joyce had her first Cardiac Rehab appt. It was a classroom setting, and for the most part informative. Now the rehab is voluntary, and is for the most part, voluntary. Thankfully, she elected to do it. After I got approval from my primary at the VA, at no cost to them, I get to participate, and not just watch from the sidelines. Three times a week for 16 weeks. Great thing is there are Cardio nurses right there watching and heart monitors are involved. Today was her second meeting there. The one on one with a specialist. Tomorrow, first day of actual work out. very, very light to start...YAY!!!!!
