It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

It was a classroom setting, and for the most part informative. Now the rehab is voluntary, and is for the most part, voluntary. Thankfully, she elected to do it. After I got approval from my primary at the VA, at no cost to them, I get to participate, and not just watch from the sidelines. Three times a week for 16 weeks. Great thing is there are Cardio nurses right there watching and heart monitors are involved. Today was her second meeting there. The one on one with a specialist. Tomorrow, first day of actual work out. very, very light to start...YAY!!!!!
That rehab is critical, Eric, so do all you can to encourage her to stick with it. I had basically the same deal from Medicare after my heart valve surgery. 3 times a week for 12 weeks, paid for thank God. I felt I got a lot out of it, and everybody in the room has got some kind of problem. I met a lot of men and women that had so many problems that I felt better about myself. It changed my perspective about a lot of things, all for the good. Stick with it!

Yes sir, Medicare or AETNA insurance is picking up the Majority of it, Thank you Jesus. It's costing us 2 Bills for her. Mine on the other hand, to help her, encourage her, as well as help me is not. Another factor Is travel back and forth 3 times a week. It's not far, but cross-town traffic eats gas. Her jeep normally gets 16.7 MPG, but with all the stop and go, its down to 14.8. For us, thats a lot. Oh well, just means some things have to wait, but not when it's her health. That comes first.

She had a pretty good workout today. Because she had a small amount of hip pain yesterday during her 6 min. walk, they, said they were going to build her up slowly. Really slowly apparently. She had two 8-minute sets on a recumbent stationary bike with an 8-minute break in-between. Of course, there was a short warm up and cool down session in between, and a See you monday...
