Wish I had a magic bullet for ya. All I can say is keep trying and remember the thermocline to stay above.
Fellows I’m not gonna lie to you ever about fishing on this forum, but the dog days of summer right now with the water temps reaching 89 degrees today, the crappie have all left, or not biting what I try to give them on all my 30 treetops and reed piles. I have brush from 22 to 35 feet of water, some on point drop offs, some close to river channels, some in coves, and flats. Usually this time of year for me is pretty good for catching crappie. But not this year, I spent all morning fishing flats, river channels, big rocks in 35 ft to 20 feet. Sharp drop off, shad piles, stumps, with no prevail. Right now the crappie is kicking my behind. But there’s alway tomorrow.
