Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share some updates about my recovery and thank you all for the prayers and responses. I’m humbled by how many of our sweet members have prayed for me.

Today I went in for post op staple removal and it was discovered I have some fluid buildup around my lungs in a chest X-ray. I’ve been having some cramps under my ribs and we think the fluid is probably the cause. It isn’t a lot of fluid, but enough to start medication for it. Additionally, today my legs and feet are very swelled. We think the swelling is from my blood pressure medicine and not my heart after undergoing an echocardiogram today.

They gave me medication to help with the fluid buildup and swelling. Next week 7/13, I go to my cardiologist for a checkup on my heart and review of medications.

May I ask you to please pray for me that the fluid buildup goes away and for a good report from cardiologist? The appointment on 7/13 will evaluate my new heart valves and determine if they are leaking or dilated. Admittedly, I have some anxiety about the outcome of my next visit, but am giving it to the Lord to carry me. Will you please pray that my heart function and valves will be satisfactory with no leakage, dilation or regurgitation?

Praise the Lord! He is forever faithful. We are praying for you brother. The fact that you have made it this far indicates the Lord is not done with you yet Sir. For many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivered them out of them ALL.

My prayers for all your parts to function as they should. I also pray that your cardiologist is as good or better than mine. He’s a good man and has my best interest in mind. His PA is the one that did what it took to get things rolling for what I’m facing now. It’s been caught early and it’s small which might not have been the case had the team not acted. Goo works in his own way, who are we to question? You’ll do fine and look back at all this one day soon. Keep your head looking in the right direction and He’ll do the rest.
