    Default OVER 100

AND pretty much rather unpleasant with a zero wind even in the shade !
so them that was complaining up a storm about the high winds last month are now roasting like a chicken on a spit
stopped in at the little dock by work on my lunch break and tried to ketch a few , was right at 100 when I got there and calm as could be . Fish were biting right on the first drop of the jig !
Now it was in my agenda to ketch a few nice fish , but the nice fish had other plans it seems and after 18 assorted fish in around 45 minutes , 2 things became apparent .
1 ....the larger fish were either not there or not cooperating ......
2 ....it is easy to miss 25 or 30 fish strikes when they are tiny lil thangz ......
the next part of this lil visit is this , once you get to sweating like your standing on Goergia asphalt in the middle of the summer sunshine at high noon , it is time to move on no matter what size the fish are .....
there did not seem to be a constant on what they wanted as far as presentation , some bit it on the rise , some slacked it on the fall and some just swam off with it sitting pretty still ,with a few really knocking the fire out of it in the mix as well .....
the forecast for today is OVER 100 and even though I took a vacation day ,it is quite likely I will pass on the baking and roasting until golden brown while trying to ketch a fish venue today ...just saying

Doesn't sound comfortable to me fishing in heat like that. I prefer the cooler weather even wintertime. Way to still get after them and put the KABOOM on them fish.

pretty slow actually , now if I was "fast" enough to hook everything that bit , it would have been a pretty high number quickly , but for sure my gun hand aint as fast as it once was and lots of them slicked me that visit .
my agenda is to hit a fish a minute or faster if possible , less than 20 in 45 minutes isn't and or wasn't my actual intention ....

it is not , it is oppressive heat when there isn't even a light breeze at this temp and humidity , so hot in fact that I lose interest pretty quickly in trying to ketch fish and start dreaming about a/c instead .....

A bit out of the comfort zone we all prefer at that triple digit temperature. However, I much prefer the heat to the cold, or should I say my joints do. If it dips down to far, not even Goody's powder helps. Growing up, The family followed dad where ever he was stationed stateside, as the Marines don't allow family members overseas, or didn't at that time. It seemed 90% of the time stateside dad got assigned to either the high, or low desert in So. California. The lower desert isn't so bad, that's pretty much the LA basin to San Bernadino south to San Diego, but that high desert got very hot and very cold. And not much fishing opportunities I might add.

we get pretty buggy here when it gets real warm like this , annoying insects are often in the mix , the skeeters are in turn ya to hamburger mode at last light and then the sun and how relentless it is with this thinning ozone layer, it will burn your skin FAST if exposed to it directly for more than 10 minutes or so .
but much like you I like it warm , cold never was my thing , used to be a real skinny thing and did not handle cold well at all , and still prefer it hot much more than cold ....

I can understand that, Ketchn! At this point in my life I’m having some real problems with the humidity!
