    Default Cows were laying down

Cool front rolled in and dropped temps and wind direction bigtime . The bite was less than stellar and we possibly hit 75 to 100 in 2 hours .....should have rolled 200 plus pretty easily in that time frame ...darn the bad luck right ....
but it was just splendid weather and my wife said what a beautiful day to "fish" and I thought yep it is , but not the best day to "ketch" for sure .....
No worries , we had a good time and managed to ketch several fish in the 3 different ponds and lakes we visited .
The crappie were just average pond size fish and the bites were extra light . We missed far more fish than we ketched for sure . Even the bluegill and bass were biting light , such is how them there beautiful to go "fishing" days can be .
On the way in we saw lots of cows laying down and it occurred to me it was not going to be the bestest ever trip in such a beautiful weather pattern.
such is how it goes though and one "must" ketch when one can , dont let the weather dictate the pursuit .....
    KABOOM is the word ...
p.s. being that it is in fact national turtle day , we ran a race yesterday and in the end even though we were much slower than the hare ,,,,,we WON ! AND ....
nothing beats seeing your race opponent in the rear view mirror you know ...

no kitty fish sir , they are basically highly inactive midday and especially so in a bluebird bright sunshine type scenario setting .
the hare is a friend at one of the ranches we visit , he is always around , we have one at our place as well .
they can burn it up when they feel threatened for sure .

Looks a lot like those big swamp rabbits down home. Those critters could flat wind a dog and never break a sweat
