Default 'Bout time to start fishing

It's been an odd spring for a number of reasons that I won't bore you with but I have yet to wet a line. Finally got winter of 22-23's firewood all stacked up and ready and that's one of the must do's that had to get done and off my list before I really focus on getting on the water.

That's about 7 full cord ready for fall; with today's oil prices it's money in the bank for us. Got next years wood stacked and drying up in the woodlot, too.

It was about 10 years ago I joined up here on the forum. Had a long stretch when I hardly wet a line but the bug bit me hard in 2012 and I got back to it while reading this board. The weather around here this spring has not really warmed up enough to get the itch going to get on the water but this week may change that. Temps are slated to head up as the week goes along, hopefully the wind will die down when they do. Darn wind has been non-stop around here all spring. Always feels chilly and puts a damper on the "gotta go fishing!" thoughts.
With big chore done, weather warming, hopefully wind slackening off, it's time to git fishin'!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

That is a lot of wood. Glad you got it all done. With fuel prices it will certainly save you a lot come winter. Bring on those Connecticut fish pics.

Good job, I got my 13 cords finished up for the next two years and am cutting more down.

Great job, 6pound. What is the old saying. “It produces heat two times. Once with cutting and second with the burning.”

Youve definitely earned the opportunity to wet a line.

I feel your pain. I bought a new boat 2 months ago and I have only been on the water once. We broke a 60 year old record for the most spring wind. I also recently lost my mother which has pushed things back a bit. I'm hoping to get back on the water soon and do what I enjoy most. Seeing that much wood stacked makes my back hurt. You certainly and earned the right to go wet a line.
