The instance I'm referring to the jigs were the same other than color. There are lots of things that must be considered and I think color matters and is one that must be considered.
Size and shape play a major role as well

Don't want to hyjack the thread so I'll post another that politely suggests: NO WAY IN H. COLOR MATTERS WHEN IT COMES TO SOFT PLASTICS!
Maybe for hard lures, but for soft plastics, shape (which determines action) and lure size matter no two ways about it!
It has to matter to one part of the equation or the other. If it doesn't matter to the fish. It certainly matters to the fisherman

Considering when ya'll are using the same exact bait, one will find out pretty quick if a certain color (or combo) "matters" .... when you or your partner are slayin'em and the other one isn't -- when you're flipping double jig rigs in front of Livescope and most all your fish are caught on a specific color regardless of whether it's the top or bottom jig -- you're Pushing jigs or cranks and all the action is on one rod.
Granted, there are times when it don't matter what color you use ... you can be killin'em on any color or you can't get a bite no matter what color you use. But, there are those times when it can "matter" down to the actual hue of the color you're using.

I quite certain all yall have caught more Crappie than Me. But I am quite certain I have the answer. To yall who say color doesn’t matter, You are fishing from really stained water to what looks like chocolate milk water. To people that say color matters, You are fishing lot cleaner water to lightly stained. Where I fish you aint gonna sneak up on them, use jiggn pole, drop 5’ in front of boat and catch them 6’ deep. Aint gonna happen. You had best stay 30’ back and cast to them. I also take 4 parts white to 1 part Pink to coat my jig hds. Bright Pink scares them. It is all about water clearity!! And Yes, color matters. Bring those exotic colored up bodys and come fish with me. I’ll be havn Fried Crappie for supper while you can hav Fried Spam sandwich!! 😂🤣😂🤣
