    Default AVOID THE TREES!!!!!

Man, been out twice in the past week and a half fishing. Both times came home with chiggers!! Trying to fish some tree bases along the banks and just brushed a couple limbs. Weather was nice so short sleeve shirts. Won't be making that mistake again.

Kevin .... chiggers like me so much it wouldn't surprise me if they swam out to the boat to get to me.
I'm just glad they don't have wings !!

Them chiggers eat me alive. I am leery about going into the field or woods this time of year because if them. Poison ivy never bothered me but them things are torture.

Grew up in desert state with zero chiggers. 1968 in Army at Ft. Hood, TX, first time in the field playing Army Infantryman and sleeping on the ground with no protection. Received over 300 chiggers in/on every area of my body. Never Never been so miserable in my life. Never went back to the field without Off sprayed all over boats and clothes 2-3 times per 24 hrs.

If I’m out in grass, woods as soon as I’m home I put mix a quarter cup bleach with 3/4 cup warm water, jump in shower, pour it on my hands a little at a time and start at waist rubbing myself down to my ankles. Even if you already have bites it kills them.

Always heard clear fingernail polish on the bite will smother them and kill them.
