    We have caught a few that were almost jet black. That feller has a way to go.

    Those critters are confined
    Thought it was interesting that inside the Bass Pro with controlled water temp and artificial light they show signs on the spawn even though their environment for the most part is artificial

    you should see the ones over here , they got some in the over 2 lb range in that tank ....
    never seen them in the spring though , kinda busy with the ones outside the tank ....

    I thought if I used those Crappie Maxx brand that they would let me get away will it. Sadly no. They frown upon you fishing in the glass front pond. Told me to not try it again. They had no since of humor
