    I went back and read this, fantastic. I feel 1 hook in the water per angler is better than 36 hooks in the water with shiners on each (seems more swallowed hooks to me with shiners).

    if used right and you understand what you see down there ,live sonar will in fact help you ketch larger crappie , this is fact

    I agree. If all you’re targeting is big fish, this will definitely help you. And not just in tournaments.

    Interesting and some curious stats in the article.

    Live sonar users caught over twice as many fish per hour than non live sonar users, but kept 30% less fish than non users.

    Out of 700 boats only 2% had caught their limit.

    I wonder if some of the other 98% had caught a limit, but only kept a few fish.

    Not sure how extensive the survey was.
