EZT Pole Perch works just fine for me. No bolts to loosen up and fall out like the other. I have capabilities of building my own but opted to buy from EZT.

I've looked at a lot of different options. Also wanting dual seating on the bow. I remodeled my last boat and made it compatible for three across, single or dual. This boat is different. So the research started and here are my thoughts, concerns, etc.
Anything free floating on teh deck is subject to falling overboard, with or without the occupant.
Anything anchored to the single seat pedestal includes a trip hazard (rails that connect seat to post).
Cost- $300- OUCH!
Build my own mousetrap? No matter how I sliced it, the commercial units are pretty well engineered and all I'd be doing is duplicating them. Sure at a lower cost. Cost of materials, my time is free.
One last option, install two more pedestal bases in the bow. Do you have the room? In my case, they would be mounted in two of my deck hatches. Which raises other concerns. Are the hinges strong enough? Is the hatch lid strong enough? Will the lock hold? On the plus side, the mounts are smooth to the floor. No trip hazards. Won't fall out of the boat.
I bought two new pedestal bases and some 1/8" aluminum plate to strengthen the hatch. Going to sandwich the hatch between the base plate and aluminum. If the lock fails, I'll buy another.

I have EZTs. They are easy for me to maneuver. I had the millenniums. They are well built, but hard for me to move around and I couldn't hand tighten them good. Had to use channel locks.

I have the EZT for the front of my tracker 175 and really like it. Stores away very easy and doesn't take up much room.

I built my own out of scrap tubing. Figured out how far apart the seats needed to be. Cut a piece to that length. Then welded a leg on each end of the tubing. In the middle of the cross piece welded a flat plate with a 3/4 bolt on the bottom of it to fit in my existing seat pole. Took to a local machine shop, he made me 2-3/4 bushings to fit in the tubing on each end to hold the seats.
