Hey how about one of the floating boat docks? They have them that you can move if needed and you just drive up onto it. SO if the water falls or rises you can just pull it to where you want it. If you have not seen one before here is a link...

    Then there is this...

My rail system would be one where you have 2 pipe rails going out into the water and your boat just rolls in and out on a trailer like I have using a speed reducer and winch type drum with cable. You can run it out as far as you want and let it hit the water where it can.

I have spent a lot of time looking at different solutions for sure!

This is a bad place for boat houses. We have lots of straight line winds that exceed 70 miles per hour here. I have seen what happens to boat houses. Mansard Island Boat housings, the Pumphouse Resort Boat housings, and a few others floated down the river a few years back. I am sure there are as few guys on Crap.Com that remember this mess. A KY dock builder recommended not to build one at my location. I have seen them come and go. Still would like to have one though. A convenience thing as we both know.

    Thanks for the info.

I was lucky when Rita came through, but it still gave us over 100 MPH winds and was stuck without moving for 2 hours about 15 miles from my house. However I live on the South side of this land between 2 very large fingers off the lake and that helped a lot with that storm. We had loads of trees come down around here, but like I said I was very lucky.

    Good Luck,
