Default Why do some photos posted go on sideways?

I have Apple I-pad and I-phone and the photos always post turned to the side. Anyway to change it when I post or prevent it?

Download the Crappie.com app and post your new pics thru it. Test a newly taken pic in the Testing Forum to see if the orientation is correct. If it is, then you're good to go. I don't believe, however, that previous pics will be corrected using this method.

It is believed that because of various updates (on phones & this site) that sometimes this site does not recognize the orientation code of some phone pics & tries to correct it .... leading to the pictures being turned to the side. (layman's explanation)

    Thanks!
That works also. Just tested some from a web page and not the ap. Adjusted the brightness just a little and they posted as should.

I have noticed the same thing with my android. I usually just a small adjustment in size does the trick
