Default Bait storage for the lids of rod lockers

I was asked to post this up with pics.

I decided to do this because I was running out of room and getting the 3 worm bags out of my locker meant more space! LOL!

    1) Figure out the size of board/metal you want to use and make sure that it will allow the lid/door to close

    2) Test fit piece to lid/door and secure it one time.. double check for fit.

    3) Remove the piece and start laying out what width and spacing you want for your bags of jigs/worms, etc.. Secure the clipboard clips ( what I used )

    4) Continue until you have what you want to achieve. You can load it up or not at this point.

    5) Re-attach the completed board to your lid/door. The reason I said to do this prior was not only to test fit, but will make it easier to re-align
so that door will close with holes already there from test fit.

I eyeballed all of my spacing and tried to stay around 1/4"-3/8" on the up/down spacing. Put what size bags you want on and check spacing left/right. With my bass tracker, I am able to have 74 clips for baits and will definitely be easier for me to find what I'm looking for.

As you can see, I like the Bobby Garlands!

I hope this helps someone out.

I used 1/4” plywood and spray painted it. The clips came from Amazon. There is a system out there called Easy View, I believe. It’s expensive to achieve what I did with that system. 1 lid would have been around $100. If you can find the potato chip hangers (used in stores) with holes in them to screw down, they would work as well.

Have fun with it and thanks for the compliments.

That's a great idea!. I'm always looking for additional storage options so I can buy more baits that I will forget I have. How'd you mount the plywood to the lid?

Self tapping screws thru the support ridge. If you look close, you can see the supports sticking out from both sides.
