You sir are a genius. Pure genius. Why trading that Harley for a boat is the wisest thing you could have ever done. Congratulations.
Yall know I'm bran new to crappie fishing but fished for Bream with several bream boats designed just for that most of my life. Moved where I am now for the fishing . On my third stick steer boat now, but if things go as planned trading my Harley for a tracker pro 19 in a couple of weeks so I'll have a platform boat be a little easier to run the spider rigs where the floor is level and not dropped down in the boat so far
Simple fix to adding polls or a high end trolling motor is adding another trolling motor.
Most places had these 30 pounders on sale through Christmas for 100 dollars. Market place is good for finding use at a real good price Run a foot switch to the front of the boat simple wiring set the trolling motor at a 45 degree on the rear of the boat all you have to do is drop it over when you stop, your set. When the wind pushes you around just hit the foot switch it pulls the boat back out to deeper water. You get use to it very quick and there is nothing hard about it. Like riding a bike, I actually have a Pilot trolling motor in the shop will be mounting it on this boat I mentioned 19 foot tracker i'm getting control it with the foot control from the front those are electric. I love my manual or cable trolling motors on the front.
There about 4 to 500 now used.
Makes life so simple for a person fishing alone when the wind is blowing and you want to stay in one spot. Good thing you have less than 200 dollars in it.
Heres a picture of mine on the rear. Its set at that 45 degree angle just flip it over and fish. If the wind is blowing the other way just turn it towards the motor you can fish it any way you want . Most of the time set it once a day or like the pilot I mentioned you control it any time never leave the seat up front
Don't laugh at my 24 dollar 6 crappie rod holders. They working perfect at a very good price.
