You can get creative with agm batteries. They don’t have to lay flat like flooded cells.

I have the 55BT Terrova on a 17.5' Tracker with 2 batteries wired in parallel. I have stayed spotlocked all day, trolled between docks, or chased catfish jugs all night. The batteries never shown less than half full on the meter on the trolling motor

    12. Out on 17 wareagle and never had a problem. But saying that if I was to do it over like previously said I’d go for 24 with such a little price difference.

Mine is a 04' PT175 and there is room, not much but enough. I had to mount the 3 bank charger back by the transom, that took some ninja like skills but it worked out well.

I have a 2000 pt175 and added a third battery also. I had to modify a battery tray to fit between the two existing battery trays. The furthest in battery can be a pain to get in and out and as said before the three bank charger can take some ninja skills to mount. Adding another battery can be done it just takes some planning and stretches.
