Small upgrade to heavy hi vis braid on all my jig poles. I’m going to 50lb test with a mono leader. (I tried smaller braid last year and gave up due to getting too many tangles. )
I was able to out fish my buddy last week from the back of the boat. He was using minners. The bite was very light in 30 ft of water and I was able to feel when they picked it up. ( I caught twice as many)

I just boat a 14ft skiff that I will be fishing from. It fits my style of fishing perfectly. Livescope unit will be the first upgrade.

    Hey Rickie,
I just bought two of those type poles. I was discussing them with a fishing buddy. He has live scope and commented on how skiddish the fish are. He started looking at options and recommended poles similar to those. I noticed B&M has them for about 3 times that price. They are going to be the next hot item this year.

On my second one, stick steer , each one gets a little wilder on the mods. LOL
Googled it took a look at it. They are so easy to fish out of .
Nice looking boat. Seen you didn't have a trolling motor. Had a panther very much like that one. One thing and it made it a lot easier I moved the trolling motor straight over the bow in stead of offset . Didn't even have to stand up to deploy or bring it back up. Just added a little more rope for the return pull. Hoping to have another boat by next weekend not a stick steer but will change the trolling motor straight on that one.
