Default Blazer VL100 Conversion to Crappie Boat Update

tlefire ask about my project boat so I am posting an update. If you have a BBC account you can see the pictures but I don't think the pictures are shown if your not logged in. The Cap is back on, I fiberglassed the Cap to the cockpit deck and am fairing that seam now. Hopefully I will get it gelcoated by the weekend. Here is the link to my ultimate Crappie Boat build. I will take a few pictures and post here later today.

You had me at center console. Nice work. That is going to be a fishing machine.

It's Fully Blueprinted, composite & foam hull, so much is built in all 4 compartments will be empty. Total hull weight will come in under 400 pounds. Even the console will be waterproof. This afternoon I ran up to the hydraulic shop and bought o-rings for the helm pump, Tach, and each gauge to waterproof them to the console. My cranking & Ionic lithium electronics battery will be inside the console. The front console hatch is a built in tackle box. I have a very low hours Yamaha 115TLR 2 stroke for the initial power while I built a 60 degree 115 Evinrude Eagle type engine. A set of Gordon's heads and some re-jetting of the carbs and I'm pushing 125+ HP to the 24in High Lift Ballistic Prop. This little boat should hit mid 50's or better. It's only 15ft with a 68in beam. When done I will be able to carry 2-14ft, 2-12ft, 4-10ft, & numerous casting rods inside, protected in the boat, not up on a external rack.

The Yamaha weighs 358#'s where the Little Eagle Engine is 320#'s. It also has the "Lighting" gearbox. The setback on this boat will be the same as my other VL100 8in. So once the Eagle engine is installed I will most likely have to move weight aft to get it handle excellent on the pad. There is no built in setback like a big bass boat. In the second picture you see the "Pad" clearly.

The work is coming out nice. I recommend bigger trailer tires and rims.
