Default What size filet knife is preferred?

I've always used a 6" Rapala but I saw a guy, who fishes a lot more than me, using a 4" Rapala. For average 10-12" Crappie what are most people using? Thanks.

I guess it would depend on which style you use to fillet. I usually use a 6" or an 8 for crappie when I use a conventional fillet knife. I use an electric most of the time. It just seems a little faster

Here in MS I would prefer the longer blade for average crappie
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I prefer sharp! That said, I now like the short Rapala filet knife.
