I’ve caught them in Ky lake.
Water were I caught these is definitely cooler than the lake it flows into. It is not exactly clear. It may be the clarest water they have access too

I’ve caught them in Ky lake.
Seems they are more plentiful in these parts than I realized

They’re cool fish. Those are bigger than any I’ve caught.

Here are some that came out of the Caney Fork…trout river. If you look closely at the fish I am holding it is scarred up. This was on the day we had 30 black nose that went close to 60 pounds. What was odd was all the fish that day were scarred up. I assumed…and I think I’m right…all of those fish came through the spill gates which had been opened a few days before. They took quite a tumble. The ones on the table are from two different trips and best I remember only 2 out of those 60 fish were not black nose. It is awesome when you get into these things. TWRA has been stocking these for over 35 years…the first few batches were out of Arkansas. Now most are raised at the Normandy fish hatchery.

That would definitely be a wild ride through the gates

I looked at your first post trying to figure out what 2 of a kind meant...just looked like crappie to me lol...I've never caught a white crappie up here in MN, but I know they are in some of the lakes in the state.
