Thanks everyone. Been thinking about this a lot. It’s pretty cool and I’m flattered to carry a title named after Slab’s dad. I respect that! I don’t get to fish as much as I used too but I plan to fish more next year. Son is finishing up college this year. He will come home and his sister will leave for her turn. Both doing very well. We sure are blessed.

Wife and I have 5 seniors to watch out for and we are kinda busy with doctor visits, meds counting and trying to visit when it’s NOT medical based. Getting older looks rough. God Bless all of you who are doing it, and find time to leave the World better than you found it.

My son’s history professor told the class this week that President Kennedy was killed by a secret service agent with a rifle in the car behind him. He called me to discuss. We ended by agreeing that we are very lucky to live in a country that allows alternate opinions. Boy is big on Our Bill of Rights. When I said “the best way you can deal with that professor is to do your work and make home give you an A”. He ageeed. I do worry about daughter going away as she is a bit more impressionable.

This afternoon we visited two cemeteries to update to Christmas flowers. Nice visits. Highlight was watching a lady make a trek across to a distant trash can. I couldn’t help but smile when I saw her make two stops to pick up, dust off and reset 2 United States Flags at random headstones. Makes a heart swell a little. I so blessed to be married to that lady.

Warm days coming. I’ve got a few vacation days left to burn. I might get out on the water!! If so, I’ll post a report and pics.

Thanks for your vote of confidence.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

Thank you Ed and all who had a hand in this. I really appreciate it. I gladly accept this trophy in respect to our dads. My dad is John also. Cheers to our dads Ed!

I’ve been on a dry streak for crappie lately, so yesterday I went catfishing. While trying to catch bait, wouldn’t you know it! I caught a couple crappie, but no catfish. That felt good. Noticed a shaved for the picture! I was starting to look like Barnacle Bill.
