So on Rayburn, as a kid, we would be renting a cabin at some fish camp, can't remember the name. Anyway many of the older guys caught giant bluegills in seems 20ft of water for bait for their trot lines. All were fishing for "OPP" catfish. They were huge, had big humps on their heads, muscles running part way over the top. Seems some had spots but not for sure. When anyone caught one the entire fish camp ate fresh fried "OPP", and I mean everybody was invited, I thought it was very cool. Is this just a large version of the same catfish? Step into saltwater I get more intelligent, don't know much about catfish.

Back then everyone sat in the front of their "Bass Boats" stick steering and all.
I used to hunt in a deer camp 25 years ago, that had the best food ever , on stilts right beside the Ouachita river in southern Arkansas , them fellas could flat out cook , no matter the meal it was difficult to stop eating , they had a "traditional" steak dinner every opening Saturday of beef tenderloins custom cut about 2.5 inches thick and marinated at room temp. 24 hours that would just seriously MELT in your mouth after they came off the fire pit , 20 or more fellas involved and never a sideways comment in the entire crew , mostly 2 large familes that were kind enough to let me hunt with them . they started that camp so far back that it took them a day on horseback with wagons to get there on a dirt road that was highway when I hunted with them !
