I would like to thank all that have served. A fellow Vet will be dropping by soon for a visit and I’m sure he and I will be sharing a lot of old stories from 45 years ago. I would also like to thank the US Army and Department of Defense for spending a ton of money on me training me for what would become my career. At the time all I was thinking about was how long the training was that I was having to go through.….about 14 months…8 hours a day. Little did I know then that this training would result as my chosen profession in the civilian world. At the end of my 7 years of active duty I left the Army and within 30 days was on my way to Saudi Arabia for a fantastic career with Raytheon. The job…the travels…company pension…fishing any day I want….I really owe all of that to the US Army!

In Jan 1960 I joined the US Navy with intentions of trying it out for 20 years then if I didn't like it I'd get out. So thats what I did. Thanks all and Happy Veterans day to all my comrades.
