I just ordered the 1100 yd spools of 2# and 4#. I figured with all the positive responses from you all, it must be pretty good.

There's a reason Vicious is cheap. You get what you pay for is usually true.
I have been using Viscous high vis yellow in 10 lb test for years....I buy it in 3000 yard spools and due to its small diameter. I use the 10 lb test for everything. I put new line on all my reels once a year.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

If you’re worried about just losing jigs in brush, the best line for you is braid. Otherwise I see nothing wrong with the cheaper vicious line. It holds up well in every application that I use it for. Shallow or deep. Light jigs or heavy. Casting, trolling, and minnow or jig under a bobber. I’m not a Penny pincher but when I find something this good at a lower price than many others, I go with it.
I’ve now had 2 outings with the Vicious 2# line and here are my observations. First of all, it is much stronger than the rated 2 pounds. I have no way to empirically support my claim, but I had several hang ups and it took quite a bit of pulling to pull loose or break off. I was able to pull my canoe hand over hand to get untangled. Tough stuff. It’s also very visible and made it easy to observe strikes. Knot tying and knot strength were great and you can’t beat the price. In my opinion, it’s not as sensitive or supple as the Varivas TM line I replaced. I don’t think I could cast as far, but it was windy on both trips. At the end of the day, I believe it’s worth trying different tackle to see if there’s something out there that is better than my old standard.
In any event, lures used were a Bison colored Trout magnet with a Crappie nibble. Lots of 7-8” crappie, plenty of gills, and a few bass looking for an easy meal. Kind of surprised the bass would hit the magnet….lots of fun on UL.
