    Default Lost but not forgotten

My little old worn out never updated gps on my truck said I was lost .
But unbeknownst to that there device I had not forgotten where to go .
So onward I traveled and even though the information on the screen was sketchy , I eventually found the water .
Was it a beautiful morning out there you might ask , yes it sure was , a bit of light fog and almost cool enough for a jacket .
Did all that change pretty quickly when the sun got up a bit ?
Yep ,the wind howled and the serenity was shattered by a guy in a big fast bass boat ripping the lake up , then another and so it was ....
wakes and waves and light bites and the day was a miss .....
The good news on this adventure is even though everything was working to send us home minus our dinner dates, the fish didn't realize who was above them in that chop .....
Never did see much on the graph at any stop , fish were hunkering down tight to the bottom .
Most of the time it was an educated guess and a slow roll across the bottom until something felt a bit fishy .
No congregations were present and the fish were scattered in all directions .
One thing for certain , most would not jig the way we were jigging , but at the same time most would not have had a bunch of fish when they left after a couple of hours .
Really large crappie eluded us though and it was mostly just a box full of eaters .
So just when you think the fine "art" of fishing is lost to technology , there are a few of those still out there that have not forgotten the methods to the madness of Ketchn .
71 water temp , wind ripping , fish in around 10 to 14 feet of water parked for a nap it seemed and the parking lot was not crowded .....

Important thing here, you made it out, and though no large fish came home for the taco dinner, some fine eaters made it. Congrats on an other fine day in mother nature.
