    I bought mine online and have bought both 12’s and 13’s in the past year or so. Make sure of the weight capacity as you look. A friend had 3 of five of the Good Year Marathons he had for his boat go bad in just a few months, and they weren’t old. No info other than that. I bought some Kenda brand for my 12’s that are doing fine.

    I buy Goodyear Endurance tires. Much better than those cheap Carlisle tires from Walmart and other outlets. I made one 300 mile trip on those and they were worn out. Been running the Goodyears now for 3 years and no problems. They are wearing great. Just remember that most trailer tires are rated for 65 miles per hour on maximum tire pressure.

    Bought mine online .... first ones were Kenda's and they were great until one of them broke a steel belt. why, but it did, so I went with another brand (again bought online). Sorry, but I don't remember the exact brand, but they are radials & D load range (65psi ... 65mph rating). My outfit weighs in at close to 2000lbs (boat/motor) ... 1999 ProCraft 16' w/90hp Merc.

    I don't go all that often, but when I do go there's a big portion of the distance on the Parkway @ 70mph

    When I got the boat (used) it had lite truck tires on it and I blew one out on the Parkway the second year I had it.

    So not mentioning brands here since I buy from several marine warehouses but talking about any 12in bias tire the max speed rating is 60mph. Most bias tires sold on the cheap, I don't care which brand, go to their website and read ratings. Almost all are not intended for Interstate use. I was going through a pair a year just running around here. I was even buying a pallet of trailer tires each time the "Road Show" tire deals came around (always sold out). After noticing how quickly the tires wore I read up on the Duty or Service rating. Most said not recommended for sustained highway use or something to that effect. I just bought 3;
    Carlisle Trail RH Trailer Tire - ST145R12 LRE 10PLY
    $61.00 from Walmart. 75mph speed rating. They are a little taller, I had to turn the fender bolts around so the carriage head was on the inside to clear fender. Now for my personal trailer tires I go somewhere else than my suppliers to purchase.

    To me trailer tires are a crap shoot…no matter the brand. Having said that I have bought a set of Carlisle Radial Trail HD 13 inch every year for the past 5 years with no issues on any of them. I’ve been lucky. I put about 15 thousand miles a year on a set just on the interstate…..and probably another 3 thousand miles on the highway. Even with that many miles there is still plenty of tread on them but I change them out religiously every year. My boat only weighs 1200 pounds. The only issue I ever had with a trailer tire was a blow out doing 70MPH coming home from a trip to Dale Hollow. Had not had the boat a year. Put the spare on and headed straight to Discount Tire and bought my first set of Carlisle. Not sure what brand was on the trailer when I bought it. Come March I’ll put the next new set on and keep on keeping on.

    Regards

    Discount tire radials - E rated. Believe they were Carlisle. Had a blowout on my stock ones, never an issue with these. FWIW this was on my enclosed race trailer over 15 years, never have owned a boat
