Default Not great but good enough

Beautiful day out on Brownlee reservoir yesterday. Just enough ramp left to launch but plenty of water to fish. Had the whole reservoir to ourselves. The fish are in the best shape of the year, thick and fat. It should be wide open catching but for some reason it's not. Hard to find concentrations of fish and tough to get them to bite. Lots of fat in them but empty bellies as mentioned in a recent post. The white Trout Magnet probably caught the most. Just a real enjoyable day on the water.

I haven't had any luck on bison but to be fair, I haven't fished it very much. Next trip out I'll give it an honest try. White, brown and catalpa have been good producers for me.

I bleed them. Just a quick poke behind the gills as they go into the box. Snow white fillets.
Thanks catchNgrease thanked you for this post

I do it the same way. Less mess in the cooler.
