I have certainly had days like that
I threw everything I had at them at it didn’t matter. They didn’t want it! Lol Three hours at the bird and 9 crappy with only 3 over 10”. Saw plenty fish but they were tight lipped. If I’m going to fight the wind they better be biting. Off to watch football I go now.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Can’t blame you for abandoning the water, DRN. Enjoy the games!

Done that more than once. Hope you enjoyed the games more.

This is why I carry the minnow bucket. If the don't minnows or jigs, I call it a day.

sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
There have been several times my FIL has gotten aggravated with me because I catch one right out of where he just was fishing. He has a hard time just letting that jig stop, hold it steady. I’ll drop in and stop, dead stick still and thump. A lot of times though you won’t feel a thing until you start up and there just the slightest weight to it. He tells me, I see what you’re doing and understand why it happens but I just can’t be still.

I too have had days like this. Only problem was kitchen sink is in my wife’s kitchen or I would have thrown that too!

Lol I know it was a joke about the colors. Seriously though they didn’t want it. I tried dead sticking until my arm went to sleep, casting past and let pendulum back to them, fast retrieve, slow retrieve and they didn’t want it. I can say no minners were harmed. Definitely not active like they had been. They probably would’ve turned on but wind was getting to be 20mph and not worth the trouble. Later in day wind gust were 30mph and beyond.
