I love hunting season Ketchn, fishermen head to the woods, not the river. Glad to see the Crappie will be taking the crosshairs off Your Picture for a little while. We do quite well fishing thru winter but have to keep a hunters orange cap on fishing the Pearl River. The surrounding woods are a management area, several people have been shot while fishing over the years by rookie hunters.

That's why I give up hunting when I was in my 20's, got tired of being shot at by other hunters and not being allowed to shoot back.

While I fished the Pearl River for 20 years I was never shot at while fishing it. I fished the lower end of it so that's probably why I didn't see many hunters. Could hear them in the distance but never up close.
