the nerve of people these days! very very rude! I always holler out and ask if I can go by them if I feel they are stationary in a spot. (mostly bass tournaments) If someone is on a pile I want to fish, I go find another, its that easy. If I know them well and they wave me over and invite, I might join them, but 9 out of 10 times I go find another spot. very sad the entitlement of others these days they think they have.

keep in mind as the earth becomes more crowded and people get raised with the wrong ideas more frequently than the way it once was and the lakes fill up with crappie anglers as they have been doing for a few years now .....too close is going to get more and more new definitions on daily basis .
have had a fella I didn't know for diddly walk up at 3 am in the middle of the night and ACTUALLY put his rod tip under mine as I stood on a public dock ! Was he looking for trouble you might ask ,likely so , he was trying to run me off best I could tell ....
he was quite friendly and talkative though and it occurred to me to be polite as well ,so I apologized profusely when I whacked the you know what out of his rod with mine on a "missed" hook set ......
the what could be described as the desperation to ketch a fish often causes some folks to do some pretty off the wall things....

The possibility of a flying jig should have been enough to get him to move over a little bit

Very true. Most of the time anyone comes close to they boat when I am out is because they are curious as to what I am doing or catching. To most it looks like I am bass fishing

What do you think about strangers riding up to you and marking the brush you’re sitting on? That’s a whole different ball game.
