Fished a lake Saturday and was long lining over a point. I can't turn on a dime longlining, as yall know. This boat keeps trolling towards me after I make my turn and pass back over where I had been for the last hour, gets over top of my jigs, and is gaining ground on me to where after I unhooked a fish, I had to shorten my cast, and just let the line off the reel to get it to proper depth. He eventually veered off and did a 180. I cut him off at the point to get back over the spot I wanted to be in, but I had been making the same 100yd circle for an hour. Dang right I was going to cut him off when he was no where to be seen prior to that.

Jordan Lake NC in the winter. Fish would (may still) stack up on the creek/river channel ledges. Seen it where it's possible to have normal conversations between two boats, but it was always pleasant. Havent been there in a while though.

I agree with all the others here. I grew up in a family of fishing folk. A person's spot was his until he left it. Even today as much as I would like to just stop by and say, hi hos it go'n ,I won't . As i travel around the lake here I do pay attention to where a person may be fishing and make note to try that spot one day. Last Sunday I fished woltever bride area with several others both on the bank and in boats.... no one crowed anyone else. A fellow on the bank was catching crappie and encouraged me to work in the area. But that is something I could not do. Respect of other people fishing is what makes us better people and fishermen.. please don't be upset I used the male pronoun, I know there are many great fisherwomen also.

Depends on the situation. I have shot docks on Guntersville where it was a steady string of boats shooting the docks. Looked like bass fishermen lined up pounding docks for fish
:I would like to thank the builders of docks for giving me a place to fish and lose tackle

I guess it might depend on how she’s dressed? lol

A agree with SuperDave. If we can cast to each others boats, then we better be freinds or have at least been invited in.

the nerve of people these days! very very rude! I always holler out and ask if I can go by them if I feel they are stationary in a spot. (mostly bass tournaments) If someone is on a pile I want to fish, I go find another, its that easy. If I know them well and they wave me over and invite, I might join them, but 9 out of 10 times I go find another spot. very sad the entitlement of others these days they think they have.
