That's pretty close. I had 14' rods straight out the side of the boat. A bass boat went by and got into the line. The lake is about 500 yards wide there. He trolled around me and snagged that line. Got mad at me for having a rod stuck out " that far" I better pray it didn't cut the seal on his new trolling motor.

Yesterday only 3 boats on 7k acres. We had a glitter boat go by on plane close enough I could've casted a 1/4 oz jig into his boat. Kinda ticked me off.

Back in the day I had a internally water cooled trolling notor. After every trip I would loosen the bolts on it and let the water out. Spray in some WD 40

He was in a one man bass tournament and was trying to keep his lead. No time to go around and waste precious seconds

Here on the Ohio river when sauger are running the boats are packed together like cord wood. Don’t really matter then because you are just vertical jigging right beside the boat and anchored.
Otherwise, I stay away from people as much as I can.
I have even lost fish after hooked up because I didn’t want passerby’s to see me catching.
I put a lot of time on the water to find a few spots and so should they.
They don’t need to have Livescope or other electronics, they have binoculars!!!! Lol

I was on the lake yesterday and didn't see another boat let alone person in site. Guess 20-30mph winds as well as OU/TX game had them all at the house. Loved it and wished more days were this peaceful!
