Default Almost a ZERO in the cooperation area

Went to a spot or 2 in the rain the other day , the crappie were in the ole almost a ZERO cooperation mode .
It was 1 fish or MAYBE 2 per color change with no really solid pattern I could get on top of .
Some days it just it what it is , the second stop had flooded out terribly and even there in a spot with more crappie than water is was about as bleak as it gets !
will return to the water soon in hopes they have settled down into a pattern more acceptable to ketchn .....
managed to ketch about 12 fish total with 2 or 3 being bluegill ....not good
some days it just is what it is .....

When days are tough and you still can catch a few I always consider it a win. Sure beats being skunked.

it makes me crazier than I am normally to know fish are down there and not cooperating ,thank goodness I rarely try to ketch fish with electronic help , it would have made for a trip to get my mental health evaluated seeing them NOT cooperating on the big screen .......

Yep, some are much better than none! I learned quite a bit about fall fishing yesterday covering some spots that I do not normally do that well at. A ton of dinks that were first or second year, but on U/L were still a lot of fun. Trout magnets under a float was the key.

lots of days I stop somewhere along the way on some water for a bit , my hope EVERY time is to ketch at least one crappie ....
ketchn predominantly from the bank presents quite a challenge in terms of numbers of crappie , so sometimes it is just 1 or 3 ,but if the celestial bodies align with my agenda it could happen I stand there longer than I should and hammer till they quit ......

Lately catching 12 crappie would be considered a good day. Now I have had days when I caught more than that but most days I would have been happy with the number. In the last month I have had 2-1 crappie days, 3-2 crappie days and 1 skunk day. So 12 or more per day sounds good to me.

I have gotten the numbers up. But it certainly doesn't count when they all come up short

short or long, I don't care as I don't keep many. I just love the fight and the way my light rods bend.
