They make weighted floats to help extend your range. I have a few rocket bobbers that cast pretty far.
i posted last week or so about bobber visability, lately my wife and I have been fishing from shore during the week hear and there, i notice this one spot we fish alot that the fish are biting i really have to get my jig and bobber WAY out there, so after trying a bunch of different ones, and the only way i can do that is my using those bobbers called Adjusta Bubble, i have tried a few different sizes of them, the larger one does not fly thru the air good for distance the medium one about 2 1/2in long and about 7/8 in dia filled about half way with water seems to be my best setup so far, with this set up visability is poor especially if there is a ripple ect on the water, so i have to cast WAY out and when it hits the water i start slowly retrieve, i wait for the thump and been getting them, my wife cannot get out there as well as i do but she catches a few here and there, so now that i can get to where the fish are with the adjusta bubble type float, has anyone come up with a idea where i can get out there without spending 3 bucks a pop. i went thru a few already.

How long of rod you using? When I was bobber fishing from bank I would use a 9’ rod to help zing em out there further.

I use my own Carter bobber. I make one type of slip float that uses a 1/4 ounce egg sinkers for longer casts of about 90+ feet and I make a style that uses a 1/8 ounce sinker for other casts. A Dollar Tree pool noodle will make over 200 slip bobber floats.

Several companies sell slip bobbers with lead weights attached. They cast really well. Another tip is lighter line. Everything else the same (bobber, hook, etc.) a 6 pound line will cast further than an 8 pound line. 4 pound would go even further.
I really like the weighted slip bobbers when I have to cast a long distance. There is more weight on those bobbers then I put on non-weighted bobbers.
