There's a reason for that. You have to consider the line diameter. Most 6# line sold in the US will be .22 or .23mm (which is really 8# line.)

The Varivas line you used is .165mm, a true 4# line.

Here’s where I’m fishing. This is off my sea wall.

    Awesome.

And here’s the specific line I used.

But this worked good. Great feel of the thump. It actually was a nice fish and I was able to direct it around the pads. Then I swung it up my sea wall, no net. I was a tad worried, but for no reason. The line worked perfectly. And I could toss that mr crappie slab daddy a mile and a half (seemingly)!

Good deal. I think imma gonna like our new sponsors products. Cool.

That will work! It is so nice to have a great fishing hole just outside your door. #4lb line is the best line to use for Crappie fishing. Just my opinion.

First of all! What a beautiful place to have outside your door! Secondly, thanks for the report on the Blue Moon, I’ll give that a go on my new, incoming, ultralight rig (Thanks for the help Randy).

Just awesome! I am going to give light line a shot next spring for sure. Not sure what kind yet, but saw the post you made the other day and probably will try one of them.

Those colors on the crappies ARE beautiful, Slab. Nice, and glad to hear the line is working out. I will definitely be buying some. For me, a hi viz nylon.
