Warm weather Crappie and a bonus!

Dad and I went out to the lake over the weekend for one last push before hunting season starts here in Florida. Had a really good couple days and ended up finding a school of crappie, despite the warm temperatures. Got 15 total, all in about 5-7 feet of water staged in sparse hydrilla. Throwing small 1/16 oz jigs and letting it swing through the weeds waiting for a 'tink'. I was pleasantly surprised, especially for the warm temps and bright sun. We did some bass fishing too and I managed a really nice 6 lb 1 oz largemouth and dad got a nice 5 lber. Good times on the lake with family are hard to beat! Cheers
