Default Looking forward to some hot action on the docks

The leaves are starting to turn, summer is losing it's grip and fall in moving in. Bringing cooler temps. The crappie will be moving under the docks just waiting to thump a jig shot back under there in the shadows. Fun times ahead.
I have to hurry up and get stocked up on jigheads,Slabsauce, and G-sauce for when they like a little garlic on there jig

Docks near deep water produce best for me. Docks with lights aimed at the water means the owners fish it. They may also put out some brush or structure to attract fish. My lake has a lot of floating docks do to winter draw down.
I look for boats with a lot of growth on the hulls. Quiet out of the way docks are also very productive

If I hadn't misspelled the title. I might have sounded like a sailor on leave. But since I managed to spell hot with a G. I am good.

I have no docks available. Should there be one or two I am unaware of, they would be heavily fished.

TN is a great place to watch the upcoming seasonal transition. Be fun to enjoy it as you most certainly will.

Will you use heavy jigs or light and why ?
Maybe they will bite this one……

Not really. I have found them under the docks in the dead of summer when I would have sworn it was too hot. I usually don't look at the electronics much. I would guess also what is hot water in some areas would be considered cooler in others. It does seem like the closer a dock is to the water, therfore darker underneath the better it holds fish on brighter days. Bright days put them in the shadows of the dock. More overcast days they tend to hold not as tight but more scattered
