My favorite lake is lake Tawakoni which is 38,000 acres. I have to drive over a 23,000 acre lake (Ray Hubbard) that is 10 minutes from my house. My favorite lake is 20 minutes from one of the best crappie lakes in the nation (Lake Fork). I have been fishing Tawakoni since the late 70's and she never lets me down.

A nice scenery lake with no houses around it is 10,000 about 1 hr 20 min
Livinsgston is 90,000. 1.5 hour away. I may focus on some areas this winter.
Sam Rayburn is 2.5 hours and would make that my lake if I lived closer.
