My home lake is 70k acres. I focus my efforts on 3 creeks and two rivers on this lake. I use navionics instead of topo maps.

My home lake is around 68,000 acres and over 890 miles of shore land!
But prolly 50,000 + acres of that is grass! Grass ,grass and more grass ,
    Too blessed to be stressed!

Oh wow, I live on Toledo Bend Reservoir and it's my fav! 1200 miles of shoreline and 185,000 acres, so is huge, but I have always counted on the lower about 20 miles of the lake and it's total about 65 miles long. So I never see the North 2/3's at all. However the part I fish is the widest part and has long fingers coming off the main lake. I like on one of these fingers and where I am it's about 1/2 to 3/4 mile wide and I am 5 miles from the main lake.
