    Default Penn Levelmatic 920

I couldn't leave this one either. It was at the same place as the Greenie. Also don't see many reels with the box. I have been looking for a suitable rod to put it on. It should make a good catfish reel. I need to start working on some of those TARP catfish. That reel was made to battle tough fish anyway. Soon I will give it a chance to do soName: 20210901_165042.jpg

what a dandy ,sure is beautiful , now mind you never ever try to cast with such a "casting" reel , it will likely end in catastrophic failure resulting in a bald eagle nest in your hand ,,,,,just saying

One of these was extremely out of my teenage price range. When I saw it at a good price I had to take it home.

I suspect the same. Yet I will have to try it.

I haven't casted a bait caster in years. I had a larger penn years ago with no levelwind. You could not cast that one to save your life. This one does have the bearing caps that can be tensioned .

Beautiful looking find. VERY gently used and a good buck in the day. That said, it would make a terrific party boat reel. Just a drop and no casting.
