    Default Starting them young

Today I took out a friend and his 6 year old grandson that he is raising. I would get the little guys bait down to the right depth and he took over from there. When he would hook one I had to get there quick with the net because he would reel them right out of the water. He caught some nice crappie and a heck of a perch. We've had a couple of cooler days finally and the fish really responded to it.

Good photos and a real nice story. Sounds like the young lad went to the Ketchn school of hook, reel and fling and sling! Congrats on the trip.

Great job Oregon slabman. Starting them young
I hope this young man gets many more opportunities to go fishing. I was raised by my Grandparents, they instilled the Love for fishing in me. Almost 79 years later, fishing is still my passion.

    Thanks again and regards
