Default Advice needed on placement of structure for fall crappie fishing.

Structure placement area and water depth would be greatly appreciated. Large lake/river system, will be using bamboo. Thanks!

in these parts we would likely set it on the edges of channels going into the winter shad run creeks or rivers.
sharp turns are good spots sometimes , we place them in the deepest water on the outside of the bend .
some "holes" in some creeks and river systems really load up with fish when the water cools .
possibly a "warmer" cove that fall run shad frequent as well .
depth would be relative to what I had seen in previous fall run fish on the lake or river it was placed in.
like stated though they will remain good for a bit in the fall and bit in the spring and possibly be for the most part blanks most of the rest of the year.

A couple things depend on where I put it. Does the lake level fluctuate? That makes different depths at different times of year. Flow is another. Don’t want to put it someplace that it will get flushed out. I like to place good brush in a drain where two hills meet and goes down into deep water, a channel is even better. I like to put them in a line for about ten feet down to about twenty five. A little gap between them works well. A cedar just outside the line here and there will hold different fish than the boo will. It also will last longer than the boo and it will give you references to replenish as the years go by. A little at first to see if they come and when they do just fatten it up and look for more similar to it.
