Default The NEW HAT episodes .....

So in an effort to keep the image up , I got me a new straw hat !
My other one was a really cheap one and was falling down pretty fast lately .
The new straw hat is a nice rig and did what was expected without flaw .
Fish came fast and easy like always at that spot .
12 foot of water or less and best was in 8 to 10 .
Seemed to really favor a "smoke" color at one stop .
Especially casted way out and drug back really slowly "ticking" the bottom .
Only went from 7 to 9:30 this morning and he had 18 in the box when we left .
ratio of keepers to shorts was 1 to 8 or so .
water temp was 83 and the barometer was high as a cats back as they say .
Strong south wind ,bright sunshine and got warm FAST out there .
bites ranged from really hard takes to soft little pecks and all in between .
greater Canadian geese were really busy early honking up a storm .
hope you enjoy the photos ,and thanks Slab for the expansion on my attachment files uploader .

Good looking hat. Seems it already has a little fishing ability built in.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

Pretty spiffy, Ketch. Enjoyed the geese photo. Filthy beasts on the ground but beautiful in the air. Their “full flap” landings are a thing to behold!

I love that HONKING , they seemed to have come in early this year and a few of the gaggles have large numbers of birds in them ,sure don't EVEN look air worthy on the ground or in the water , but boy howdy when they ketch a breeze it is ON !

More and more over the last 25 years or so they winter over here in SE PA. They have their system to keep water open in winter until it gets really cold, and from here it is a fairly short hop to the Chesapeake Bay as the crow flies.

I be out with a buoy and back on them like a chicken on a June bug for sure myself when they look like that .....
That particular spot held the least amount of fish we saw in our regular stops short of one , one spot held diddly.
