    Default FAST hands

These here summer crappie require a fast hand ,and mine ain't what it used to be .....
so finicky and so fast to spit it out it isn't funny .
it is likely maybe that's a fish , SET THE HOOK !
missed more lately than I can count , the good news is we saw gaggles of geese ALREADY coming in today at one spot !
hit a local dock friday and after removing a large bass that was setting up house in it last week , the crappie moved in
the dock bite was the softest I have seen lately , cooler water is near .
hurry up fall fish pretty please
wanted platinum that day , REALLY slow and easy , no quick stuff .
blackies ruled the roost and managed around 20 or so in 45 minutes .
soft as feather was them crappie lips ....
was very HOT outside and sunshine .

most of our winter deep fish really hammer , I mean really hammer , so hard it startles ya sometimes .
we do see a few spots where it is a light bite though on some of the docks .
one way out west in extra deep water often has some pretty light hits

In the bitter deep cold these fish would be 8 to 10 foot down. You would feel the slightest something not right. More times than not it was a nice crappie

    Great catch.

it used to be some 10 or so years ago it was rare for me to miss one , these days I am just not quite as super gunslinger fast handed as I used to be for sure .
this is why I often have a rod in each hand these days in the boat , if I miss one, it is more than likely I won't with the other hand ....

Good story and trip, Ketch. I notice slow on the draw more now, especially with poppers. They were sometimes a challenge even in my younger years.
