    Default Distracting things

During the summer bite it pays to be on your best game , the bites are often so faint you think the slightest thing is a bite .
a turtle brushed a foot on my line as it swam sneakily by and I set the hook !
    missed the turtle thank goodness
a spider web held my line kinda off to the side , I set the hook , missed the spider too
Sometimes its other things that distract me , my adhd is always in a hair trigger mode .
the dock was just flat out ALIVE with wildlife and fish , baby shad took over the shade and the buffet was open !
so as I tried to decipher the who what where of is that a fish or not , here comes a rather friendly water snake , it was the second one in that area and much smaller than the first .
it seemed to be people friendly and was really quite distracting as it came right to me while i was jigging a bit .
i eventually gave it a get out of here foot and on its way it went , rather quickly
and yes the crappie were there with the other wildlife distracting me AND eating up the baby shad
and yes KABOOM is still the word in case you wondered

as a certified ADD dude can tell you we are very distractable but it also can be a superpower when we hyperfocus in on doing things.

do you find when you see a herd of shad roll in to keep the jigs below them and a wolf pack o crappie or bass will be there to feast on them?

That last shot near your foot was VERY distracting. I would have considered action much sooner!
