no worries , he offered up 5,000 green backs and all the info on fakebook and it wasn't long before someone contacted him with names and locations to find them, some time soon it will come to pass them folks will meet up with more trouble than they caused is what comes into my mind .
It is sad that society has fallen so far. Also sad that one really needs to be aware of their surroundings and what is going on at all times. I have a hard time trying to get my wife to understand that. Being aware of what is going on surely helps one be a little better prepared.

Your last sentence hits an important point. Walking down to the creek yesterday from the parking lot takes me down a 1/4 mile or so gravel road. Nice and wooded and quiet but about half way there I heard footsteps coming up pretty fast. My hearing is lousy so he was pretty close when I whirled around. Just a guy doing a fast exercise walk - you just don’t know these days and it bothered me that I wasn’t paying close enough attention.

25 years ago I actually got in a shoot out with a gang of ole boys trying to run over my kid on purpose at the river . the law got called and them you know whats tried to make it sound like me and the little girl started it .
it all started with me telling em to watch out for the 2 kids playing in the sand and they shot me the finger and poured out of the truck with baseball bats .
i warned them to back off and left the scene and they chased us down shooting , i had her get on the floor board and i returned fire and was fortunate enough to have quick truck and left them bad peoples before the law showed up to diffuse the situation .
heck the law out there tried to tell me the witnesses said i was the assailant on them !
i told them ok they want to press charges , fine , me too ,lets start with assault of a minor and work our way up from there !
at that point they seemed to back off and it all slowed down for a day or so ....but ....
it didnt stop there , they wanted more of it and did a slow drive by at my house out in the country ,when i figured out who they were and where they came from , i contacted a few folks locally that knew them and told them matter of fact ,every single soul involved best go away.
seems they were the local country gang called the wolf city boys and had long criminal records ,the good news is that they were not as dumb as they looked and the folks contacting them probably let them know messing with me was gunna end bad for them .
it crossed my mind more than once to "make it right" and send them to see their god , but common sense prevailed and they left us alone after that .
since then it came to mind that it is NEVER a good idea to go anywhere ,anytime without a strong back up plan .the world is just flat plum full of evil and trash and to be sure it gets worse daily

My wife gets all agitated because in her words I don't miss anything. But the possible cost of missing something could get folks in trouble.

Same thing I get. Yet the last time I said come on we need to move now. She didn't stop to argue. So that works
