Default Mr. Crappie Hydrowave & Hydrowave mini.

Would like to get everyone's thoughts on the Crappie version of the hydrowave. Do they work? Are they worth the money?

I am not much of a bass fisherman, but I do watch a lot of the bass tournaments on TV. I have never seen one on a professional's boat in a tournament. Given the amount of money on the line, if they worked, even a little bit, every pro would have one.

My 2 and worth what you paid for it.

Valid point. I remember reading an old outdoor magazine that had an add in the back for a a device you put in the water that sounded like a bee in a jar meant to attract the fish to the sound of a trapped bee. Always wondered how a fish knew what a bee trapped in a jar sounded like.

When I used to bass fish I had one on my boat. I can’t say that it helped me catch any fish but I can say for certain the Shad should gather around the boat. Was it worth the money? I would say No in my opinion from using one bass fishing.

    What Turtle!

I'm sure fish hear sounds and do react to it. My neighbor up north would pound the ice with a hammer to attract the Yellow Bass in the winter on the Fox River. Once he pounded it so hard he fell in! Just kidding about that last part! doh

in all actuality ,some fish respond VERY well to sounds , my bud has a broken off BIG salt water rod he thrashes in the water , he is a very successful striper guide and when we hit it together , I have seen it work well .
